- Star Wars movies to be released in theaters in 3D
- 2012 is the year that the Star Wars saga returns to the big screen, this time in 3D beginning with Episode 1: The Phantom Menace.
- Blackberry Playbook
- Blackberry unveiled its 7” diagonal screen tablet device. Known officially as the PlayBook. The mid-sized device looks to be another “right-sized” device similarly in size to the anticipated Samsung Galaxy Tab. Expect the messaging functionality that we’ve come to expect from Blackberry branded devices. Learn more at here.
- T-Mobile is shipping the G2
- The long awaited successor to the original Android G1 phone is reportedly already being shipped to those who have early ordered the device. Official availability is set for October 6th should you wish to obtain the T-Mobile device, capable of 4G speeds.
- Microsoft hosting an October 11th press conference (Windows Phone 7)
- Microsoft has announced a press conference for 10-11-2010. Industry analysts expect this to be the official announcement of Windows Phone 7 devices. We will of course bring all the important details to our WGMX FM Morning Mix listeners.
Android App of the week- Sony Live View micro display. Sony has brought some cool innovation to the Android arena with their Live View. It’s a 1.3” OLED equipped mini-display/remote designed to Bluetooth interface with your Android 2.0 equipped smart phone. It will allow you to view updates and messages such as texts, Twitter and Facebook from your phone remotely in addition to allowing remote control of apps such as your music player. The compact device can be worn like a watch on a wrist strap or clipped to your clothing. Expect the Live View from Sony to be available in stores from the fourth quarter of 2010.
